Personal History: The choice to make was obvious. His home was over-flowing with younger children, his grades were average, and his family needed extra money. Look out, Uncle Sam. When Jonah was 18, he hit the high school recruiter and after graduation, he went straight to basic.

He found he enjoyed military life and quickly found himself within the ranks of the elite Army Rangers. His mutation (which had been discovered during a scuffle with his drunken 'uncle', the father of his cousins Jordanna and Noah when he was 13) was kept a secret. Any physical he was put through hadn't let on to his genetic structure.

He was stationed in Iraq, and 26 at the time of the helicopter incident that led to his outting. His chopper was attacked and he was forced to use his ability to divert an RPG, which would have destroyed the helicopter and killed his fellow soldiers. Upon the discovery of his mutant abilities, his superiors quickly and quietly discharged him, as the current outlook on mutation had been unfavorable.

Unable to find a job with the salary he'd been earning to support his family, he began snooping around the mutant 'scene'. If he was going to be shunned for something that was a part of him, he might as well embrace it and make the best of it, he decided. Soon after his homecoming, there was an up stir to do with an act requiring Mutants to register with the government. Soon after, the media's focus shifted to an 'attack' that occurred on Liberty Island. Signs pointed to mutant activism.

Once he found the perpetrator, he found himself employed. It had been a team of mutants that were responsible for that attempted 'influence' upon the world's leaders. But the team was meager by the time he came across them. There was the old man (Magneto) and her (... Mystique). He began to train with them and pick up odd jobs that paid high. Nothing was too serious or major, and he was able to stay within New York.

After a year or so, his cousin had finished school and moved into his apartment. He was MIA a lot of the time, and the girl caught on. She badgered for months before he explained that he was working with 'Magneto' and was part of his Brotherhood.

Almost immediately, the struggling artist wanted in.

Extra: He departed the Brotherhood some time after the Cure Virus set in, along with his cousin, so that they could make sure their family was transported to a safe zone.
